Goal Setting in Faith

F – FOCUSED. The step will be narrowly focused. “I will set aside 15 min each evening at 10 pm to review my goals and pray” vs. “I need to start journaling.”
A- ACTION-ORIENTED. I will do something that is observable and measurable. I will not just think about doing something. I will start with taking inventory and assessing my values.
I- INSPIRED. My goals are not just “should’s.” I am inspired by…. to take on these goals and my plans for how I will do them will carry me through when I don’t feel as inspired. What has inspired me to success in the past?
T- TIME-SPECIFIC. I will do it at this time, or within this time frame and then assess the results.
H- HEARTFELT AND HONEST. I will only commit to a FAITH Step that I know in my heart I honestly am ready to take, as opposed to something I think I “should” do, or I think others want me to do. I want to reap the real benefits of caring diligently for my self and my life as a way to love God more.
