Advent Garden Club Activity 2025
When you next visit the church, you will see the fruit of our last Garden Club meeting, November 23rd. The Emmanuel Garden Club added fresh greens from local gardens to decorate wreaths for the outside doors of the church. The wreaths were then adorned with large royal blue bows to commemorate Advent, which begins on November 30th this year.

Special thanks to Beth Pearson for providing the wreath frames for us to use even though she could not be present. We had 5-6 doors to adorn with wreaths. Carol, Rose, Nicole, Leisa and Jessie worked on the wreaths.
We used Royal Blue Bows as the Episcopal Liturgical Color for Advent is Blue. Advent is a time of preparation for Christmas and our wreath making followed the tradition of the Episcopal Church to save the Christmas decor for the Greening of the Church on Sunday, December 21st after the 2nd Service. At this time, the tree will go up and the Sanctuary will be decorated.

Just before Christmas, we have another tradition known as the Greening of the Church. This is when we embellish the church with all the red, white and sparkles we can imagine.

All hands are welcome to the Greening of the Church as well as the Garden Club, which meets monthly on the 4th Sunday after the 2nd Service for the festivities! We had so much fun working together for this special Church Season.
