PALM SUNDAY

TENEBRAE

Meaning “darkness”, this service of Psalms acknowledges the reality that it seems darkness is winning, but concludes with the truth that the Lord is the victorious “Light of the World.”

MAUNDY THURDSAY

This service focuses on the command or “mandate” for Holy Communion at the Last Supper, to “do this in remembrance of me,” and celebrates Jesus demonstration of servant leadership through a liturgy of foot washing.
All are welcome to participate, or simply observe.

GOOD FRIDAY

Following his triumphant entry into Jerusalem. This service of the “way of the cross” commemorates the Lord’s journey to the cross after the shouts of “Crucify him! Crucify him!”

HOLY SATURDAY – GREAT EASTER VIGIL

Easter Vigil:  With four distinct divisions (liturgy of Light, liturgy of Lessons, Renewal of Baptismal Vows, and Holy Eucharist), this service is the first celebration of the Paschal feast, after the commandment on Maundy Thursday.

EASTER SUNDAY – THE LORD IS RISEN!

On Easter Sunday, is the great celebration of the resurrection of our Lord from death, and by faith, ours also. “Hallelujah! The Lord is Risen!” The people have a king after all who is “not part of this world,” and all are invited.
