Trust Creates Peace
When life is overwhelming and nothing makes sense and everyone we hold dear is dealing with big issues that we can’t help with, enter God.
This was me recently, and I was a mess. My loved ones have some big issues and situations going on. I had stayed in touch, listened, showed I cared, but quietly, I was worrying — a lot, and I was undone. I could not find God.
But he found me.
When I was getting ready to go up to bed, I discovered I had made tea and left it sit out without drinking it. It sounded soothing, even if was pretty late to drink tea. So I popped it back in the microwave and just stood there waiting. I happened to look down at the tea bag I had used earlier to make it, and noticed the tag. I turned it over and read, “Trust creates Peace.”
That wisdom, so simply and stunningly said, turned me right around. The old Shaker tune made more sense now, “till turning, turning, we come round right.” It gave me just the perspective I needed. Though nothing had changed, I knew it was true: trust does create peace.

.
It showed me that God too, had stayed in touch, listened and was showing he cared. It was profound really because of the timing and the simplicity. While my guard was down, the sneaky way the message I needed, had shown up – on an innocent tea bag.
“Whom have I in heaven but you?”
Psalm 73:25
‘Tis a Gift to Be Simple
‘Tis the gift to be simple, ’tis the gift to be free,
‘Tis the gift to come down where I ought to be;
And when we find ourselves in the place just right,
‘Twill be in the valley of love and delight.When true simplicity is gained,
To bow and to bend we shan’t be ashamed;to turn, turn, will be my delight.
Till by turning, turning we come round right.
