The Order of St. Luke, our Adult Discipleship group, began with the study of the healing mission of the Church. Since that time, the area of study and discussion has expanded to a much broader extent. This bi-monthly gathering has tackled such classics as “The Imitation of Christ” by Thomas à Kempis, the biography of Mother Theresa, and “The Brothers Karamazov” by Dostoevsky to name just a few. We have finished “Practical Mysticism” by Evelyn Underhill and Henri Nouwen’s book “Spiritual Direction: Wisdom for the Long Walk of Faith”. We are currently winding our way through “Poverty of Spirit” by Johannes Baptist.
Our desire is to provide a place that is safe and grounded in prayer to study and discuss in order that we might be encouraged in our spiritual journey.
Please check with Fr. Don for the time and place of this gathering. All are welcome.
