Dear Emmanuel Family,
Father Don, reminds us to pray for the individuals affected by the flood – not just the situation. He finds trying to pray more globally for the “situation” is problematic because he cannot see with the eyes of God. By focusing on the individual faces, he finds that he is much more engaged in prayer. Frequently there will be an individual in the midst of these stories on the news, that seem to grab our attention, although usually we don’t know why.
We don’t need to.
I googled “Houston Flood Victims” to give this way of praying a hearty try.
